I'm always amazed when people who can't write well somehow manage to acquire the "bestseller" label. The first two paragaphs were okay, then it fell apart. Worst pacing I've seen, and I edit books. Disjointed, doesn't flow, seems to proceed in fits and starts. I managed to read three or four pages before pitching it off the Kindle and deleting it from my purchases.
I love books that have dogs in them, but in this book the dogs played a minor part. At least as far as I got before giving up and deleted the book. This was a romance more than any other genre, and I don't like romance books. And the theme was not novel: A woman thinking she can "discover" why a man is hateful and abusive and "cure" him...when anyone but an idiot would have run away fast!
